Meet Momentum's Care Team: Executive Clinical Director Caitlin Rainwater LCMHC, LPC, LCAS, CSI

Welcome to our Employee Spotlight series, where we take a moment to recognize the incredible individuals who drive the heartbeat of our organization. Our hope is to shine a light on the diverse talents, unique personalities, and wonderful achievements of the people who make up our treatment community. We invite you to get to know the faces behind Momentum's success stories and learn more about the people who make our workplace a vibrant and dynamic home.

What do you enjoy most about working here?

Being surrounded by like-minded people who give their all to honor the work that these young men, women, and family members are doing in this season of their lives. There are few limitations on what we can do on the day-to-day to help support someone and truly meet them/see them where they are. I think that creativity and an expansive mind are key elements as a guide to one another on a recovery journey and the fact that we are so supported in growing both personally and professionally is also a huge plus in my opinion.

Can you share a memorable moment or achievement during your time at Momentum?

Impossible to name only one, but I think the most rewarding feeling is when I look around the room at a staff meeting or out in the community and see Momentum Alumni who are now employed supporting our clients and being the person they once needed.

The healing power of relationship is incredible and to witness the truths, vulnerability, and courage that comes out at our in-person family workshops always feels memorable and impactful. Lastly, the fact that our program has tripled in size since I became a part of it and we have successfully managed to keep the magical spirit of it alive and it still beats with the same steady heartbeat feels like an achievement to me.

Outside of work, what are your hobbies or interests?

This changes frequently but recently I have been very into thrifting, antiquing, and restoring old furniture back to its original beauty. I love the ocean, shark tooth hunting, and “adventuring” with my two kids, family, and friends.

If you could give one piece of advice to new employees, what would it be?

Learn, continue to grow, listen more, and don’t underestimate what you bring into the room as the person you already are.
